A coordinated organisation for generational transformation — mentorship, leadership, entrepreneurship and community development rooted in Pondoland.
SALA was established in 2022 by a diverse group of young professionals and students from law, accounting, medicine, engineering, education and business — united by a shared commitment to uplift the communities that raised them.
Today our network spans over 1,200 dedicated members across seven regional structures in the Eastern Cape, operating as a coordinated intergenerational pipeline from learner to community developer.
Our members come from Lusikisiki, Flagstaff, Port St Johns, Bizana, Libode, Ngqeleni and Ntabankulu — the Mpondo heartlands.
To provide a platform for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds — including high-school learners, university students and young professionals — for career, business and community development.
To cultivate a future where every individual, regardless of background, has equal access to opportunities, empowerment and success through education, mentorship and professional development.
School visits, professional gatherings, graduations and community impact - drawn from every corner of our network.
