The South African Legacy Association (SALA) is a registered Non-Profit Company based in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Our public contact details are info@salaorg.co.za and +27 63 686 0596.
We collect personal information that you provide directly to us, including: name, surname, email, phone, school or institution, programme of study, profession, region, gender (optional), and business interests. We also collect technical data such as your IP address when you submit a form.
We process your personal information based on your consent (when you register / submit a form), the performance of our membership agreement with you, and our legitimate interest in operating an effective mentorship network.
Your information is accessible to authorised SALA staff and your assigned mentor only. We do not sell personal information. We may share anonymised, aggregate statistics with sponsors and partners. Service providers (hosting, email) process information on our behalf under POPIA-compliant operator agreements.
Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing. Sensitive endpoints are CSRF-protected. We maintain an activity log of administrative actions for accountability.
You have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@salaorg.co.za.
The site uses a session cookie when you sign in to the Member Portal or Admin dashboard. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated to active members by email.
